Having Trouble? You might find the answer to your problem here.
Q. At what time of day might I encounter the radio station is unavailable?
A. The most common time of day for the radio station to go offline, is between the hours of 12 midnight to 8 AM in the
morning when listenership is almost zero. If there are no listeners at these hours, the server is shut down as a preventive
maintanance or cool down measure. Also we make the radio station unavailable when performing website maintanance to help us
get the station back online faster.
Q. Why do I keep getting an error on streaming request message .
A. For a proper radio station stream, you must use the listener link inside the yellow box entitled "The Que 98.2 FM Online
Radio" on the right side of the homepage, in order to achieve a successful broadcast.
Q. Is there a time limit as to how long I can listen to the radio station?
A. No, The server is only shutdown during maintanance hours provided no listeners appear on the radio station's event log. This
is generally a 24/7 radio station accept for the maintanance times mentioned above. So you could listen all day if you wanted.
Q. Do I need a special player on my computer to hear the station?
A. You need Windows Media Player 9 or higher that will work with Windows XP, Vista or a MAC OS X operating system.
If you don't have it, use the links on the bottom of the cimplexsounds.com homepage to download it from the Microsoft
Website.
Q. Does this website collect information about my computer?
A. Yes, the only information we collect about you is the IP address on your computer. This is information is only used to monitor who tunes in on the radio station frequently. We also use this information to block the IP's of repeated copyright offenders from receiving the broadcast. The IP address of repeated copyright violaters are provided/shared with the U.S. copyright office.
Q. What if I have an older operating system like Windows 98, ME or 2000?
A. In this case, you need to e - mail the radio station at: thequefm@cimplexsounds.com and a universal setup file for
Windows Media Player 9 will be sent to you via the "You Send It" service. You can then download and open the file
to download Media Player from the Microsoft website.
Q. I have an old computer, which listener link should I click in the yellow box on the homepage?
A. It is recommended that you use the link for dial up listeners on the homepage. While the sound quality won't be as
good, at least you can ensure that your connection won't time out. Since old computers don't have enough RAM required to stream
modern media.
Q. Where is the playlist?
A. You'll find the playlist under the playlist tab on the left side of the screen.
Q. If the radio station should go offline at 12 midnight does that mean I will not be able to listen to the music in the "Our Artists" section either?
A. Yes, That is correct, all streaming media on this website is controlled by way of the radio station servers. Once they go offline for the evening all streaming media will be offline as well. The station's current hours of operation are 8 AM to 12 Midnight MST Seven days a week.
